ATV trails are open and most are signed, the DNR has started to sign trails within Beltrami Island State Forest so that people will feel more comfortable in unfamiliar areas. The Forest is in a "Managed" classification which means trails are 'open unless posted closed' although many trails are winter logging roads or snowmobile trails that cross wetlands or swampy areas at some point. Those areas are 'OFF LIMITS' to ATV or other motorized travel. Please respect our Public Lands and ride responsibly.
